To counter something means you hit back against it... think counter-attack, counter-barrage, counter-strike, counter-punch...From my knowlege i believe that when a spell is counter spelled it either fizzles out of bounces off the attackee. With this, could it have a chance of hitting other crits instead of the mage... Like a % on whether or not it hits the mage or another? and then you'd have to take into account with the spell being counterspelled , how strong is it going to be if it were to hit another player...
A 'counterspell' by this should mean an attack on the casting mage
