I wrote this in reflection of myself. I've always been the one to play it safe, stand back in the crowd, and not let my ideas or feelings be known.

Ask yourself at the end of each day
Are you your own man
Or a man of anothers way
Ask yourself are you free from the chain
Of your peers, preachers, and teachers
Do you take the road less travled
Do you Choose avoid at all costs being plain

So at the end of every day
Ask yourself who you live for
Its time to be your own man and break away
From the conformity of the masses
The masses that all walk the same safe road

At the beggining of every day
I'll be the first to stand up and say
Carpe Diem! Carpe Diem!
Seize the day, and make it your own
For when the reaper comes
Will you have lived for yourself
Or for the man who sits upon the throne

Poems dont have to rhyme. and they dont have to be shared with other people.

I write many of my own songs for my band... but i wouldnt share them over the internet...

do you want it all to be stolen?

If you put a copyright symbol over your stuff that will be a pretty guard, even if you don't officially turn it in because the person who would be copying has no real idea if the copyright is real or not, so they don't take the chance. Because if it is and they steal they'll be paying loads.

Edit: Not trying to imply that this is stolen, just putting a point out there.

Wrap Me in Your Wings

Inside my body
I feel so numb
Wrap me in your wings
I never shall return
Reality is a memory
I only seek to find
Within my soul
My deepest secrets lie
I drink on wishes
And wish upon my dreams
I throw away responsibilities
And feed on childish schemes
I lie awake thinking
On only what could have been
And only with you near me
Will my sweetest dreams begin
You are what keeps me safe and warm
You're the only one I trust
That will do no harm

"Besides posting on the last topic on this forum out of boredom, I recently wrote this great poem!

Disorder

Lost in a wasteland of solitude
Yet so many people around
They know and understand nothing
Soon to be under the ground

With lonliness comes despair
I feel this emotion so much
felling it around others
killing people in my clutch

With despair comes anger
killing people in my wake
ravaging and destroying the lands
let it stop for the worlds sake

Finally the anger has stopped
but insanity has come
madness and havoc reek my mind
it is killing everyone

All credit goes to me, my first real poem."
