Covert Limit

I mean, these huge thief parties running around are just INSANE. It's not realistic at all and it's REALLY ANNOYING for umm... me, and I'm sure other people.
Either that or disallowing the usage of macros while you are covert would improve everything.

I don't support the covert limit, simply because squares, realistically, are not all the same size. A room in a house is fairly small, whereas a square of the desert may be excessively large and have plenty of sand dunes to hide behind.

Suggested before, as I'm sure you know. Wouldn't work, as players would block paths etc.i suggested giving squares dimensional properties that would limit the amount of people they could hold depending on certain factors... yeah, i do that alot.
As for the reasoning, what was it Aidon said.. "Everyday should be double exp, cus I, one person, think so." something like that, it's in someone's sig, can't remember whom though.

And I also agree that thieves in parties should be made to use stamina while running around coverting or else they become uncovert when they move.
To prevent people from just setting a macro to /uncovert, it should take two seconds to do that as well.(two seconds in which you are visible.

also, by putting a limit on sqaures you can determine if thieves are already there. by putting a low level thief on a square and having them fail to covert, you can be sure that there are atleast so many thieves there.
this actually happened back in the day. you couldn't hide if a hidden thief was watching. i used that to avoid danger when i was too busy, and lure prey when i was bored. i also used it to prevent thieves from entering areas covertly when i wanted to maintain control of training in areas or just pick off people i didn't like. so really, it wouldn't make things more fair, but depending on it's execution, could definitely be exploited in amusing ways.

Whatever. I'll just deal with it I guess.
But watch out, If I ever see an army of covert thieves, friend or foes, I shall kill them.

well, if you're a thousand guys... you try to make sure that one guy is looking the other way. elsewise you just stay low to the ground and hope the mark thinks that the gound looks different but is hardly worth investigating.still beyond me how say 1000 thieves could be moving covert in a wide open area like the desert without you noticeing them at all but alright

Ya, we'll all just have to look forward to the genius that is NM2 (I don't know which I pick for that comment...is NM2 over-hyped in anyone elses' opinion? We don't even know anything specific about how it's going to go)
