I think it would be kind of neat to have alternate pictures for some of the NPCs and the character portraits to have an "attack picture" that is displayed for two seconds or so after the npc/player attacks you.

Or maybe if it's impossible with NM1 it could be implemented in NM2.

Just an idea...

He means when a crit attacks you, the picture changes to something else for a few seconds afterwards.

animated attacks?? that would be kewl would make the game morethen a text based game and would prolly be more 3d effects then anything.

IF its possible to do id support cause this would be a great great improvement..

but like all of the great ideas.. Theyll never happen since soo much effort is going toward's ?Nightmist 2.

All of the NPC's and monsters don't even have pics yet. Tackle that first.
We'll douse ourselves in gasoline and hang our bodies from the lampposts.

But whatever, it's not for this point of time.

If it ever WAS put in, there would have to be a /toggleanimations.

It is a nice idea, but I do not think Nightmist is a game that is really appropriate for it, as it does not have a large enough graphic element. Also, since the game groups similar monsters, like 5 Black Bears, to just a single icon, only one might be attacking while the others are idle for the moment - how would that be displayed?
