My suggestion is having a optional section when rolling a character that will allow you to add a e-mail address locked to the character. When an e-mail address is locked the character cannot be traded or transfered from the account.
Ways to remove the e-mail attatchment.
A) The only possible way to remove a e-mail address from a character is a request email to JLH from the e-mail address attached to the character itself.
Benefit.
A) for some reason if your character is stolen, deleted or removed from your account. A simple request from the e-mail attached to the crit will have to be made.
Ways to improve
A) Instead of having JLH do all the transfering by hand a automatic option could be created through the web site. Instead of attaching a e-mail address to a character you can attach your forum name.
Notice:characters will not be allowed to be transfered or traded if e-mail/forum name is attached to the character.
Its a little rough but a over all good idea in my opinion

Creates too much work for JLH.
And also, if he isn't sitting in front of his computer, someone wanting a trade may not get it, because he isnt there to do it.
If you make it automated through the site, its just like there is no email attatchment.

If you want to roll a character and play the game with no intention to sell the crit this is the safe option. If your going to sell the character then just keep it with no e-mail attachment and then it can be bought and sold easily.

It's his initials. Do a /who JLH in-game.but i do want to know what dose JLH stand for.
I don't really support this... if you have your own account which no-one else shares then there is no need for them. If you do share... well... "safe characters" would just be a substitute for carelessness, should non-safe characters get taken away by your untrustworthy account sharer; it might also give them the impression that you don't really trust them and thus cause tension.
